Where do these foam blocks go?

Hey dudes,

My kayak has two foam blocks in the hull and I'm not sure where they're supposed to go. These are for structural support, right? Here's a pic of one of the two blocks wedged near the bow:

The other block was just rolling around and I can't find anywhere that it would fit. Where do these typically go? If it's helpful my kayak is a Malibu Pro 2 Tandem.

Best regards,

Dave

I had about 7 blocks in my Hobie 2015 Outback. They are to support the hull. Bulkheads. I took 5 of them out and keep 2 in. I store stuff below and wanted some support but didn't need it all.

I was told by my dealer that Hobie started putting the foam in the kayaks after a guy sank his kayak. The foam is for safety. If your kayak gets flooded inside, it will float because of the foam. Happened to me offshore. Stayed with the kayak and drifted ashore....I am glad that I did not remove the foam from my kayak.

Cool, thanks for the info. I think I'm going to get some more foam blocks are strategically place them around the hull for both buoyancy and strength.
