Sunday Bloody Sunday la jolla fish ID?

After checking the surf from del mar to pB, the high tide wasn't giving much, so I took a trip to la jolla and came home with this bad baby.

Frozen little yellowfin or bigeye. I'd say Bigeye. Did you check it's liver for striations?

So for those that don't know a Bigeye has a slightly larger pectoral fin, slightly lighter colored flesh and the edges of the liver have little marks on them.

People think Bigeye are always huge but I've caught some small ones local. Excellent Sashimi!! I once got a 50lbs Bigeye within a mile of shore while fishing out of Redondo, but that wasn't in December it was in August during a El Nino~
