Xmas in May

Got home today to a box on the doorstep - my order of softbaits and hootchies arrived... I'll use the hootchies up at Shasta Lake for the brown trout and kokanee, but the PaddlerZ and StreakZ will be awesome in the bay and kelp. Also got 3 different colors of CrawdadZ for the Large Mouth Bass.

Of course I needed to pin them all on something, so this evening I got the lead pot and Poison Tail mould out and cast 45 weedless lead heads to put them on. Here's what $50 in softbaits looks like...

Very nice. I need to invest in some lead mold and a pot. It's the only thing we are missing in our shop.

These are the two moulds I have.

The Poison Tail drops 1/2 , 3/4 and 1 ounce weedless heads using 3/0 , 4/0 and 5/0 hooks.

The Erie Jig drops 1/8 , 1/4 , 3/8 , 1/2 , 5/8 and 3/4 heads using #2 , #1 , 1/0 , 2/0 , 3/0 & 4/0 hooks.

Between the two I can cover just about everything I might want to throw.
Coming from the bullet casting world, and owning dozens of custom moulds, these Do-It moulds are absolute crap, but they get the job done well enough.

I want some football jig head molds 1/2oz, 3/4oz, and 1oz and some swim bait jig head molds in 3/4oz, 1oz, 1 1/2oz, 2oz, and 3oz that I can pair with 4/0, 5/0, 6/0, 7/0 hooks

I have a ton of different swim baits molds and grub molds, with jerk shads as well.

The best deal is through Tackle Warehouse, both on price, and if you order $50 or more its free next day shipping.

On Edit - 4" PaddlerZ came through for one - many more to come I'm sure...
