Christmas Gift

Merry Christmas,
The big guy in the sky threw me a biscuit. A nice fat YT for Christmas!
I paddled out talked with DanW about his day so far and then went off trolling a Rapala hoping for a Thresher. I wasn't staying for long and decided to paddle through a couple hundred birds that were floating nearby. After I heard the water vibrating from the birds swimming away from me I thought "if there are any fish in the area they would come check this out". Sounded like a few thousand baitfish on the surface. Maybe just a coincidence but the second drop and less that ten yoyo's for the day a nice 18lb 3oz Yellowtail!!

I'm stoked for you James.

I wish I could of joined you, but the reels are being serviced. I did watch a little from the point with the bino's this morning, looked nice out there. No matter the size of the , it's an awesome feeling when they stop the jig.

On a side note.... New color Lowrance, Super Seeker rods, Avet two-speed reels...aren't you a full time student on a budget?

Excellent work!

I too was thinking about doing some T-shark fishing after the sightings lately,But I would settle for a little by-catch like that as well!
