Finally got my first legal butt! - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I was fishing the dp harbor (not in my kayak) and got this guy. 5.4 lbs 24.5 inches. Man was that intense! Was shaking from adrenaline for like 15 mins. So pumped!

Congrats man! I got my first legal about 11 months ago and the addiction has only gotten worse, I am talking biblical proportions worse and my first was like 22.0001 inches and I was wound up for two days. NICE!

Yup. Same here. In fact, as a team, the 2 largest halis caught were both 18", both caught by my 9-yr old son. I have some catching up (or just catching) to do! Butt I feel it coming soon, now that I have a fancy new gaff. Lol.
