Yuma / river bass Qs

Iím considering trailering my boat out to Yuma / Colorado river for Labor Day weekend. I generally only fish freshwater bass 1-2 times a year. Does anyone have any recommendations for that area with a boat? What lakes, area of river would be good to fish? What should I look for on the river that would be promising for fish? What kind of lures, jigs are you guys throwing out there this time of year? Any info would be great, thanks in advance
