Maui snapper Fishing

great day in maui sun shinning, small surf, and 40+ feet visibility!
my family and i are in maui for the summer and my dad and i really wanted to buy a used kayak and go out (we own a house) no luck on crags list. my dads friend owns a small little dingy. we thought that would be fun to go out on since he has a boat launch at his house. we headed out to a good snorkeling spot called "Black Rock" we anchored 100 feet off the reef. it was 40 feet of water. we thought it would be similar to fishing in la jolla... IT WAS!

Photobucket

we used dead squid, sent it to the bottom and got 2 big grey snappers and one small popoki the grey snappers were 22 and 18 inches. caught them both in less then a hour Photobucket

watch the video it is awesome!
