Dana Point, Doheny Beach | Winter Halibut

Well this was my second trip since my surgery and it really feels great being back out there and fishing with friends and new acquaintances. We went back to the beach to target halibut but only this time we had some sardines. It was a pretty good day overall and I managed to catch my first legal Butt of the season.

Hi and thank you for sharing! Good video. I’ve been to these places but I couldn’t imagine there were halibuts like this. Appreciate that. Btw, what is the exact model of your kayak? Nice crocs
