Foggy on Monday. Fog can be very spooky depending on how thick. Not totally socked in but glad to have gps with map and an air horn just in case I have to get a boaters attention. Typically could see other yakers and several boats most of the time. Just several times when it got fairly thick and hard to see things. Buddy up and head back in if you feel uncomfortable. Too many nice days in San Diego. No need to stress if conditions do not work for you. Be safe and error on the side of safety.

Monday report

Was clear late evening and early a.m. . Then the fog rolled in , visibility down to 30' . Decided to try and learn how to navigate with lowrance . Ended up at point Loma . Fog lifted mid morning at around 11:00. Stay home . No fish at L.J. Except the one I caught. 3 hour paddle back . It was moving around corner .

I fished Friday and Sunday. Heavy fog on Sunday. Saw hook ups, partner bagged a 35# yt. I used my nav the whole day. Lifted about 11:00 on us. There is fish, and yes the current was ripping. Took us a few hours to get back from out by the northwest corner.

Mark the sun and you won't get lost. Bring an air horn and you might not get run over by some kook in a skiff.
