Kraken up for Auction for a good cause

Recently one of our own, our good friend Paul Lebowitz lost his son very suddenly to a brain aneurism. Through a very tough time the Lebowitz family made a courageous decision to donate their son James’s organs, in hopes of helping others. To this point five lives have been saved and many more people helped. In order to keep their sons name alive they have started a scholarship fund at Cal Poly Pomona, the school he was attending when he passed.
Thanks to the support of some of our friends and sponsors we have put together an amazing kayak fishing package that is now up for Auction on Ebay, with all funds going to the scholarship fund. Please read about this great package below and if in the market for a new fishing kayak please consider bidding on it.
Please follow this link to the full story and link to the Auction. If you know anyone looking for a fully rigged Kraken kayak please point them to this page.

Thanks for the help spreading the word.
This is the actual kayak you will be bidding on.

What a great gift he has given to those who he was able to help. I attend Cal Poly Pomona and would love to hear more about his story on campus.

James lived in Palmitas Hall right on campus. Residential Life held a candlelight vigil for him the week he passed. We are working with University Advancement to launch a scholarship in our son's name. Through the kindness of many, many friends, it will happen sooner than later. In the meantime a story about James will appear in the next issue of PolyTrends, the alumni magazine. I'm not sure why - I don't think anything ran in the student paper. It is possible James will be remembered at an upcoming fundraiser on campus.

When James fell, the university showed us they truly care about their students.

Hey guys in case you missed it and it comes up. The Auction is listed for local pick up only. But shipping is in fact available for a seperate fee which will be handled by OEX kayaks. This is a ten day auction so lots of time to let everyone know. We are already at $3150.00 pretty excited how this is going already. Thanks again everyone for sharing the word and thanks Jackson Kayak, OEX and our other sponsors for helping make this happen.

BUMP.
Just want to keep this in the forefront. We have some solid bids but not even at retail yet. I am sure there are some sand baggers just waiting for the final minutes of the auction to put in a bid.

Here it is, ready to go.
I spent the morning at OEX with Brent and his guys and Paul Lebowitz rigging up the ‪‎Kraken‬ kayak for the auction. This thing is really dialed in. Thanks so much to Brent and OEX for the time rigging and parts for the Bait tank and finder. Of course huge thanks to Jackson Kayak, Raymarine, Kokatat Watersports Wear, Werner Paddles, YakAttack and RAM Mounting Systems for helping put together such an amazing package. Only a couple days left in the auction for this package with a retail value of well over $3600. Check it out and if you have been waiting for a fully rigged offshore fishing kayak please consider bidding on this one. And please share with anyone you think may be interested.

Going, going... The Ebay benefit auction for the amazing custom Jackson Kraken ends today at 6 pm Pacific. Will there be a last minute bid flurry, or will the current $3,459 take it? All net proceeds (Ebay takes a bite) will go towards the James Lebowitz Memorial Cal Poly Pomona University scholarship fund. Someone's getting a ride full of fish karma. Check it out and bid here: and Spread the word

We spread the word while at Long Beach. Didn't want to wait another week to start the auction after Del Mar.
