QUARANTINE KAYAK FISHING

Got a late start yesterday but I managed to make it on the water. Water was really clear. I could see the bottom in 8.5ft of water. The bite was a little slow until I switched to metal lures and caught 2-4lb and a 5lb scuba weight. All weights were CPR"d after I got the treble hooks out. Water temp 71° and a slight breeze. All things considered, it was nice to pull on something. Stay safe. Stay home. Stay Classy.

Yes Blitzburgh I'll share my numbers as long as you don't tell anyone...

Either cast out to the deep end and let it fall to the bottom or paddle to the deep end and drop a Yo-Yo rig. I hear that there are some Home Guards there.

Good Luck.

Time on the Water

Yes Mark,

I spent about 45 minuted pedaling/paddling around. I hooked a line from the back of the kayak to the pool edge and just pedaled for a while.

I can make bigger swells if I turn on the Shear Descent pump along with the pool filter. I can also make it like glass if I turn off the pumps. LOL.

Best Thing, no "SEA DOGS".

Salty,

Even though my pool is "Salty", I still had a hard time finding bait. I checked the deep end, shallow end, and even the hot tub but no bait balls on the fish finder. Maybe I should have put a piece of squid on my Sabiki rig.

Yes, I had to watch my casting. My Seadog was very interested in what I was throwing in the pool. She doesn't need another treble hook in the nose. 😊

I saw that video a while back when I was bored at work. You are not the first to suggest I switch it to a salt water stocked pond. Calicos would be fun. Anyone wanting to watch a guy who catches all kinds of fish in Florida should watch this link.
