Shelter Island Kid's Derby.

Every year there is a kid’s derby on the Shelter Island pier in San Diego.
This year is on Saturday, August 8^th. From 7:00 AM to around 2:00 PM.>>
The organizers provide everything, including delicious fish taco for the kids. The idea is to get the kids off of electronic gadgets and in to fresh air and fishing.>>

They need help with setup; bait cutting and judging the derby. Soft drinks and delicious fish tacos provided by Tommy Gomez of Catalina Seafood Co.>>

Parking is free and after the derby, you can fish the pier if you like.>>

I plan to go to SD on Friday to get on a ¾ boat. Later to go to the pier and cut bait to make bait bags for next day.>>
On Saturday I will be there to help out, and maybe do little fishing before heading back to LA.>>
