black sea bass could be a possibility. I know a few people have caught them in that area.

I was in less than 10 feet of water. Do large black Sea Bass come in that shallow?

I wouldn't assume so, but then again I wouldn't even assume they would go into the bay. More then likely it was a bat Ray but you just never know.

I didn't see it but I'm guessing it was either a big eye or a marlin.......could have also been a 50lb lizard fish
