Dana 6/13-PB Calico

Sloppy weather and sprinkles in the forecast but wanted to get out and take the new Trident out for a spin. Not the best conditions to take up paddling again but managed to start the day with a big pull from a leopard shark that was pushing 4 foot long. Put a nice bendo in the rod but I was a bit disappointed when it came to color.

Nothing else for a few hours making the paddle back to the harbor and talking on the cell phone when the rod in the holder goes nuts. My friend on the other line is a boater/fisherman and heard the clicker...zzzzzzzzzz. Had to hang up on him Thought I might have another leopard on again until my PB Calico came up. Taped out at 24" and swallowed a horse size sardine.

Not much action but this one made it worth the morning paddle....Released to fight again another day.

WOW! Very nice. Very worth it.
I went out of DP on Fri and have never seen such large and unpredictable rogue waves near Doheny and Capo Bch. Be careful out there!

Way to break the new Trident in!
Nice job on the cpr

Heres a simple Trident mod...
flip that rod pod hatch around...
that way you don't warm yer beer with yer nut sack
