LJ 6/22/2017 AM

Launched at about 0515am, huge surf, very overcast. Made plenty of greenies real fast. escorted a flylined and Carolina rigged greenines to about 130Ft when wham my Carolina rig started screaming. I grabbed it set the hook and saw that the line went strait out on the surface and immediately thought pesky "T". After some very strong runs I got it alongside to see a approx. 20lb YT. Gaffed him in. Water temp was 65. Saw several what I thought were small mako's. Kinda don't like seeing sharks come to my kayak.

Uh-oh. Surf forecasts seem to be not too accurate lately.

Surf-Forcast predicts approximately 2' waves with 5-10 mph wind through the end of Sunday.

Congratulations on the yellowtail! Nothing like the flavor fresh yellowtail straight from the ocean

Rough

Congrats on fish. Ocean was super rough today. Got a bit seasick. Forecast was 2-3 foot waves. Thinking a pure 2-3 ft west combined with a 2-3 ft south is bad for lj
