#11 On The FT - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I fished from 12:30 hrs until 13:00 hrs. (30 minutes)

Ten minutes in and my bait gets tagged in ambush!
This 28 1/2", 9.5-lbs, legal Halibut had me ... all figured out!!!

This is my #11 legal of the Season Folk's!!!!

I'm in 4' of water that is draining away from the eel grass beds, approaching Low Tide.
I had cast toward the LL Mean Tide Line ( approx 1' - 1.5' deep) and got THUMPED HARD!!!!

It kept making these powerful 30' and 50' horizontal runs .. just above the tops of the eel grass, until it tired out!

I had also managed to pick up a short 18 1/2" Hali (approx 2.5 lbs) ... on my way back to my launch.
