Battery Box for the PA

Here are a few pic of the new battery box set-up I did for my trolling motor on my PA 14...

The storage bag attached to the seat back is from Surf to Summit. It is a great spot for my VHF radio and my safety gear (whistle mirror, compass etc.) and it has two extra cup holders so I can take two Contigo hot cups out with me.

I fabricated 2 wooden legs for the box and a couple of small filler pieces to raise it above the seat retainer strap.

This method works a lot better and trims the PA's ride nicely.
I was running the battery from the front hatch but that extra weight really brought the bow down and allowed it to take on too much water when the waves were hitting head-on.
