This is a critical time as Bob Fletcher is fighting the MLPA in court on our behave once again. As Bob mentioned the shrill voices on the other side are well funded but uniformed and we need to do all we can to support the legal efforts that may end-up overturning the whole mis-information mess that was the MLPA process. Mr. Fletcher has prevailed with one legal victory already and we need to support his efforts.

We can whine on-line and to each other all we want about the poor data or lack there of but if we sit on our hands and don't open our wallets it is all water under the bridge and Bird Rock MPA will be closed forever.

The fishermen in on OC and LA counties are really up a creek with the proposed MPAs up that way and then LJ will really be crowded and then overfishing of a limted area and resource could really be an issue. Condensing commercial fisherman and recereational fishermen into smaller areas is the goal of the MLPA and we know that is not in our best interests no matter what spill-over BS they offer.

Please use the above link to make a contribution to this legal battle. The deep pocketed Packard Foundation loves it when we complain and whine while doing very little to support the real battle.
