Cabrillo, 8/18 or 8/19

Anyone planning to go to Cabrillo this weekend? I plan to have my live well running this weekend and want to try it out. Targeting butts. I hear it can get pretty windy there. Anything else I should know about?

Watch out for the boat wakes, most of boats there don't really care about you, i guess no speed limit start about 1/4 miles outside the launch, they will run full speed right next to you.

Damn man....good to see you here!

Is that your first time try out the yak?

Btw, that is a lucky explorer, i caught my first legal halibut with that explorer in Cabrillo, and it was the first time for me in Cabrillo as well.

I've gone to Huntington Harbor twice and Alimitos Bay once. This is my first time fishing Cabrillo. Hopefully the luck rubs off. I jetskied there a couple of times and remember how choppy the water was and how much boat traffic there was.

Ditto on the boats I think they like to use us for target practice sometimes especially on weekends. And yes it can blow! I am going out Sunday either cabrillo or cherry.
