Bounce Ball
The bounce ball method works great for Halibut with or without bait...The trick when using this rig on a kayak and deploying it...is to Keep Moving forward to avoid tangles...
Here's a good diagram of the rig... I like to use the good Owner three way swivel rather than the old school one...much stronger and less tangles... Use a Dodger rather than a Flasher...the Dodger swings back and forth putting a lot of action into the Hootchie while a Flasher just spins and doesn't give the Hoochie enough movement...to get as many strikes... When you rig your Hoochies with a hook...be sure to add a couple of beads inside the body to get the hook to stick out past the Hoochie tails...a long shank hook is best....IMHO
