Saw the fish in person, seen the pics before, but it still blows my mind. That is one hell of a fish. Congrats Wade.

Are you upping the ante? Are you going to release all your yellows until you break the 50lb mark?

I will keep one heavy 20#+ up to 30#++ for the month of December for WCW 2010..
I really hope I dont catch a 40# cause that will surely temp me to release it too....

i will concentrate my efforts on now strictly for the fact i love that meat the MOST!!!..

"If", and thats a great big giant "IF" I am given the chance at another 50-60#+ Homeguard and its healthy upon yakside,....
it and all the rest of the medium will be released for the next 6 months...

and ANY 40+++++ trophy homeguards that I may possibly come across again EVER, will be released so one of you may have a go one day if that stinkin' MLPA doesnt have their way...

:y t: :y t:

Darkhorse Influence

Not sure for sure, but pic #2 sure looks like it was coached by none other than "the Darkhorse". If so, Josh should be proud of his veteran's composition and catch!

"Almost" all the moves you see me puling, are a direct result from graduating the University De Caballo Oscuro.
Upon picking my course schedule a few years ago, "Iron 101" was one of the most valuable classes I could have attended.
If it weren't for Professor Pruitt, I would STILL be dragging my carolina rigs around! And I am only endorsing the Sumo Jr after purchasing the prerequisite course textbooks, aka Darkhorse suggested tackle..

Thankfully Josh wasnt present for the OTW Photo session..Homeguard put enough hurt on me! The #2 pose was undoubtedly a deeply engraved subconscious response from our previous 2009 50#+ WSB photo-op that Josh took great pleasure in torturing me with. I wish I was able to give this homeguard his signature "D.H." butt grab and hoist, but my arms werent having it after that battle..

After graduating from the top of his class, I'm a little surprised Wade isn't sitting in first place right now. I know he's put in the time to wear the coveted crown. In my opinion he just got incredibly unlucky this season. Maybe we'll have to do a quick course on targeting Halibut next time. You know, fight fire with, um fire, I guess?

And yes, you're one lucky dude that I wasn't there. I would have made sure we got the money shot. In most cases, you only get one shot at a fish like that--- a.k.a. the fish of a lifetime!

I would have made damn sure your' Yellowtail looked like this White Sea Bass you caught during our charter.

Only Bigger!

Bubbling Confidence

Great Job Wade, Good to see you setting your sights on Dec WCW already. I am still working on Nov. Your epic ride thru the lobster posts was very interestingly documented. Thanks for sharing your navigational techniques. I happen to agree with Josh on where you should be standing in the rankings. I am not aware of the unlucky times you may have had early in the season but you sure have made-up for any misses lately. Next year I hope we might see separate Flatfish, Yt, & WSB WCW contests. I would be happy to pay separte entry fees for the Yt & WSB contests.

What happened to Jasmine ? Did his passport get confiscated by a TSA patdown on his trip back from Europe a couple months ago. Jasmine was giving Mr. Andrews a good challenge a few months ago but now it seems to be a one man race for the top spot.

Congrats to all WCW competitors on a great year on the water with a squid season for the record books. As Wade's Dec. forecast suggests the season or the WCW is not over till Santa heads to the Bahamas for the New Year. La Jolla looks awsome this am. I may finally get my PA off my truck tomorrow am.
