Smile Trip to Still Water Cove

I made my annual trip up to Still Water Cove this past Memorial weekend and had great rock fishing even though the weather wasnt so great. The second day I was going to focus on the big lingcod that was reported in the area, but the wind was pumping in the Carmel Bay Area... So I made my way up around the point and lunched from the Lovers Point area. Caught several assorted rock fish and managed one legal ling, but not a monster. All in all, a fun trip. All fish caught on the lucanus system orange and white 200gram. And all fish were released. Special thanks to Rick Chavez, 2 time Cambria Slam Down champ for helping with my PA up the concrete stairs at Still Water.

That's a great spot and a home to some real monster lings!
