Will be riding past Gonzaga Bay on our way to La Paz on dirt bikes March 19th.

There will be ten of us - my brother and I will have fly rods on our bikes.

We won't be able to stop and fish Gonzaga on the way south- but may stop there on the way back north.

Is fly fishing from the beach at that time of the year worth giving a shot?

If so we may try to snag a palapa to hang our hammocks and throw some clousers.

Leaving from Gonzaga km 134 Campo Turistica sign on right at turn off. Half mile down dirt road, turn left at restaurant follow 2oo yds, on left 1st place past the row of trees, cactus on your left. Stop in and we can talk MAG BAY. Always fish available, even in the spring.

Wow- cool thanks for the directions. If we're running on schedule we will make it a point to swing by. And once we get talking MAG BAY... who knows where that might lead... I do have all of June and have of July free.

Here's a couple more photos - still learning how to insert photos (what's the easiest way to pull them off my desktop and insert into the body of the text?).

Last shot is my brother Mike- he'll be with me.

First two are fishing some mangroves on my stando- this little chinomero rushed out and grabbed my fly- it was almost as big as he was.

Let me know if you're heading to southern Baja and I can give you some info on where to go for those guys. I want to get in on the Baja bass fishing even if it means sweating my balls off in Baja in June!

MAG BAY is loaded with Spotties. Large nursery area, lot's of eel grass flats and a great fly line fishery. Spotties, grouper, halibut, corvina, snook, and pargo are local residents. most days spotties will out number all other catches. Tight Lines.
