Final total after taking out costs and there were very little thanks to all the generosity, the fish from Catalina Offshore and Coca Cola from Jorge to all companies that donated prizes for the winners and the raffle. We raised $5431. Eric had told me that he would match this number and must have had great confidence in us as he brought the check from Geo Group with him and added it to our total for the day $10,431. This will be a hard number to beat next year Thank you one and all!

Thanks to Andy, Matt and all the others for putting this together. I'm pumped for next year already. Also thanks for posting up all those weights. I was wondering how I finished overall consider the majority only weighed one fish.

Maybe next year guys could pay more to fish both bass and halibut with aritificials only. Or add a slam prize if you can get 3 or more species(bass and buts would be weighed and others would be photographed.

Chuck D proved once again that time on the water pays off.

I pulled away from him and less than 30mins later he catches the winning fish.

Halibut fishing is about as exciting as watching white paint dry; You sit, you wait, you yawn, you pray to the fishing God's.

Way to go Chuck!!!

Looks like you guys had a blast, and so glad it was a successful fundraiser for HOW. Andy... you outdid yourself... good job man! Can't wait for next year!!! I'll be there this time!

I dragged the family down to Campland On the Bay for the weekend. Would be fun to get a big group together there next year for some pre & post tourney festivities...

Just to clarify: Jeff B wrapped the rod that Chuck D won in the halibut division, then won the rod that Len wrapped for the bass division. Jeff also won the big bass award. That was a weekend rental of the OEX Sunset Beach PA 17 including trailer, fish finder and livewell. Ron and Ben Tweedt were fishing from this PA17.

Thank you! HOW, Matt, Mike, Mike, OEX, Andy, Brent, Makobob and all the wonderful sponsors, for helping put these events together. Our vets are very lucky that there are people and organizations, businesses, individuals, that step up big time to help our veterans, HEAL and have some fun. I'm glad that this event was such a success, and it's fitting for you guys that spent so much time and effort organizing this event.

Thank you guys for setting me up with that new gaff. I don't know who's idea it was...but I have a good feeling I know who it is... it's awesome and I will definitely put it to good use, getting more fish for the HOW events. Oh and the busy bee gift certificates....Oh boy!!!
