Thanks all. My Hobie did not come with the drive plug, is it necessary?

The small Hobie manual that came with my 2016 Revo says the plug is for use during storage to keep the mirage drive opening in the hull from distorting during transport or storage. I would guess if you leave the drive inplace when the kayak is not in use, it would do the same thing.
