Sweet! Perfect trip with fish and surf combo Looking forward to Part II as well. I was heading to Seven Sisters in March and then I bought a house closer to the Jewel

It should be illegal for a man and his dog to have that much fun! .....Baja seems so far away right now!

Hey,

On the subject of a man and his dog, what are the requirements for bringing a pet into Mexico for a few days? And back to the US after the trip for that matter?

All you need is proof of a current rabies shots... which is standard if you have a licensed dog.... all you need is the piece of paper that says when the rabies vaccination expires.... then almost never ask for it at the border... southbound they have never asked.... and north bound I've only been asked once..... they are usually too busy asking about the breed of dog and how old she is.... it is mellow!

Thanks... there is nothing like getting "out" there! There are waves and boilers everywhere... I didn't even see the rocks until AFTER we had set up camp for the day.... I looked over my shoulder and instantly started getting the yak ready....

Honestly it really depends on the situation...

If I'm heading out on the skiff for several hours I tie her up to the truck and leave her a lot of water.... she hides in the shade/ under the truck and barks at passing visitors (if there are any!)!

If I'm just going surfing or fishing close to camp I let her run around on the beach. She actually sits at the waters edge and follows you up and down the beach as you surf or paddle around. Often times she even goes on the kayak.... She is only runs away if there are fireworks or thunder.

The were some nice fish holding around those rocks.... only fished one time around and hooked 8 fish to 5 lbs on a white buck tail slowly retrieved along the bottom. The next day we fished it from the beach and they were biting anything scampi like. There must be hundreds of SPOTS like this down the coastline.... wild west calicos!

Queenslan Blue Heeler...aka Cattle Dog, Blue Heeler, Dingo..... they are one of the most loyal, intelligent, and athletic breeds.

She likes to fish!

Thats what I thought she was, but they come in a few shapes & colors so i wasn't really sure. We adopted a heeler last year. She's a bad ass dog, but I haven't taken her on too many fishing trips yet.

Thread jack over! Lets see more BAJA pics

that is some quality shots.

It has all the ingredients, spectacular ocean scenery, topless men, cute dog, surf, the only thing missing is the fish, and maybe some shots of your culinary cuisine.

I was baja in November and your fotos sure make me want to get back there. If its not a secret could you give a general location? Its kinda strange how having a dog along can make every thing a bit better.

It's no "secret spot"... but as a general rule I never give details.

It's not the destination... it's the journey.

Same goes for the fishing... it's not the fish.... it's the experiance!

Having the dog along is KEY...

See you south of the border!

Part II is currently in the works.
