Dana Point to San Onofre?

I know people have been talking about doing this for a while now,h and I am going to start planning it me and a buddy will be making the trip within a few wekks if conditions permit. We wanted to do it before the summer ends and before the days get to short. Has anyone done this trip before?

Looks like there will be just uder 13 hours of daylight that day, which shoukd leave plenty of time for fishing and the transit.

Shoot. Now I feel old.

I miss those epic trips. And that yellow P-15 with state of the art PVC rocket launchers.

The weather was always bad, the wind ever in our faces.

We did County Line to Corral; King Harbor to PV one time, and then the other way another; multiple routes through Laguna to Dana ; La Jolla to Mission Bay; and the Bay to Bay in addition to this trip to the domes.

Do it already. Your arms won't fall off.

Those all sound like pretty awesome trips. I may have to do some of those trips you mentioned and take the challenge on.

I might be available. Depends if I get the day off. Rumors are spreading around the ship about a four day weekend. It would be very nice reward for a lot of hard work.

Hey short timer, what kind of work you going to be looking for? Might be able to make it Friday, where you going to launch and retrieve?

Will be launching from the launch ramp right around sunrise and landing at san onofre state beach. And hopefully having a nice bbq afterwards at one of the firepits along the beach.
