Is there someone around Orange County who can teach me?

Hello!

New to the forum, and BRAND NEW to kayak fishing. I have only been out a handful of times on small lakes, and that was long ago.

I am really interested in learning how to kayak fish. Is there anyone on here who would be willing to go out with me and show me the ropes? Hoping to be competent enough to safely go out on the open ocean by the time the water warms up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

help...

Hey bud I am Costa Mesa and I hit La Jolla pretty consistently every few weeks. If you want to roll out with me sometime just PM or if you want to hit Newport Harbor for Spotties that's always a good time too. Otherwise do I what I did get out there as much as possible figure it out.

If you want to cut down that learning curve big time and are willing to pay a little bit of money to do so then Roman is a licensed and bonded guide through OEX Sunset Beach and is VERY Fishy! last line contains his e mail

Send a message via Yahoo to flyfishinsteve64
Take your kayak to some small surf and get to know it.

Learn how to self rescue

Paddling life jacket that is comfortable that you can wear all day if needed.

Leash for your paddle

would be a great start.

Enjoy

I fish on Saturdays and always for bass, usually in Orange County. Do you have a kayak already?

I'll be out at Dana Point tomorrow at around 8 am if you want to tag along. I'm taking a buddy out on the 17T, his first time as well.

I go out of Dana Point almost exclusively just about every weekend, mostly on sundays. My fishin buddy is a very mellow, low key dude who knows his stuff as well. You are more than welcome to come along.
