LB Wall 03.16.2012 ..Shake down trip

After many years dreaming of owning a Hobie Revo, the dream finally became a reality. I bought James (Fishja..thanks bro!) 2015 Revo. Went out to the Wall to see if any bass wanted some new piercings. Tons of bait but no takers. Trolled a swim bait on the way in and caught my first fish on the new boat.

Heading out again Friday.

Sorry for the photos. Not sure why they dont rotate

These Hobie's aren't cheap and it's tough finally pulling the trigger, but once you have it and you get on the water - I swear that first fish makes it all worth it. After that you are back in the black and every other hookup is profit.

*excuse the financial references, Im taking an accounting class right now and its warping my communications

Congrats! That Wall has Giants on it. I like to throw crankbaits DD22 and Diawa Salt Pro Minnows. Also, Nuclear Chicken Gulp Jerk Shad on a 1/2 oz Owner Sled Head kills it. Have fun on your adventures!

Hey Druko, how much kelp is out at the breakwall? When I fished there mornings last year, in the spring the kelp was thick and the calicos were big. By September the kelp was mostly gone and the calicos were pretty small.

I hear you can still catch the big calicos at night out there, but I don't fish then. Seems like when the cover is gone the fish hide out by day.
