2 days 2 fishk.............

41lbs. Friday
Got to the launch at 11 am, almost didn't venture out due to the wind. Glad i did. Guys coming in said that nothing was going on and the right kind of bait was hard to make. First bait ball i meter, drop the sabiki and had 5 perfect greenies, nice. Load up the tank, pin one on start to make my way out. Got to a spot that looked promising hung out for a while, my Mom called me and was complaining about how some car salesman is trying to rip her off, as i was fazing out of the conversation scanning the horizon, the ocean explodes with big yellows crashing bait all around me, "I gotta go, I gotta go." Drop the phone grab the surface iron, chuck, wind, 3 followersno takers, ZZZZZZZZ my mac goes off, set the hook, solid weight and big tail thumps. After the battle, 41lbs. on deck, my PB YT. While coming in i took a spill and toasted my iphone but didn't really care cuz the experience i had just had was well worth it. Back on the beach by 3pm.

22lbs. Sunday
Launched Sunday at noon. Weather was suck. Made bait easy. Trolled around for hours. Tossed iron surface and yoyo for nada. Finally after the sun started to peek through the clouds the wind died down a little. Late in the day after seeing some other dudes hook up, i get bit, set the hook nice 22lber.

Nice meeting you Mark, Pete, and 476echo.

Nice job - nice pics - nice fish.
I'd turn off my cell phone, or leave it in the car.

Hell, I would throw my phone, car keys, whatever in the water to play with 41 pounds of yellow.

C&R

I think that i have acquired enough YT meat for a while but of course i still would like to fish. How well do YT release? They seem to be pretty resilient fish. Any shared experience with this subject would be sweet.
