The wind is up a little bit, at 10 mph right now. On the BWE home page, it has great links for real time latest weather. Also a Web cam with the latest current conditions on a live video feed.

Kurt,

this is way cool. so I'm gonna add to it. I was out
late yesterday afternoon. Between 4-6pm greenbacks
were impossilbe to find. They showed up after 6pm.

I chased birds until my arms were ready to drop off.
The birds were diving on spanish macks. But no yellows
to be found.

Oh, lots of private boats stayed thru the nite.

We'll wait (the BD crew) for your timely on the bluff reports to decide if we fish the islands or La Jolla. Keep up those minute by minute reports of exactly what is going on out there. Their super helpful! My Parker is standing by....

Heading out today at 3:00. Hopefully the wind stays down and the greenies show back up. Maybe I'll see a few of you out on the water.

6/3 late shift

Fished 6/3 late shift w Darren. Got out around 2pm landed 9:30. Water was clear on the inside near La V. With the cloud cover I couldn’t see that the red tide had moved out and south. I didn’t find clean water until I hit the 180 mark. I spent about an hour chasing birds and tossing iron. There was a lot of life in the deeper water and in retrospect should have put in more time, but in my defense I have WSB on the brain and the kelp was calling me.

Met up w Darren and moved into the Kelp around 6:30 after loading up. Passed a few fellows on the way in putting in OT, hope they scored.

Josh

Thanks for the on the water update

Josh I appreciate your frequent updates and replys. I only get on the water a few times a month ao I really like to keep an eye how you real watermen are doing out there. I hope you are planning to sign-up for the Hubbs WSB tourney on July 9th -10th http://www.hswri.org/News_and_Events.php

I would be happy to spend the evening / night of the 9th on the water with you. Honoring Bill Poole and raising money for Hubbs' great efforts to help save our WSB population is a great way to spend an evening on the water.

Take Care, Kurtfish
