Breaking in new yak NPH 3/24

Picked up my yak and figured I'm already in Newport might aswell christen her properly

First cast wam! 19" Hali on a 3" Rasta big hammer
Paddled around with 10-15 short bites then got slammed and busted my 15lb leader. It was fun to get towed for a second I think a big butt.
I looked and my time was up so I had to get heading back so tied on the frenzy fire tiger straight to the spectra since I lost my leader...
Couple short bites but just as I turned the last dock to the beach I launched at the rod doubled over and spun me around. Short fun fight got a 23"butt in the boat straightened 2 of the trebles, time for some new owner hooks

End count
2 butts
1 lost mystery fish
1 happy new xfactor owner

Congratulations on the new X-Factor (great choice) and on popping it's cherry with a great catch on the first time out. Now enjoy your great dinner. Tight Lines
