Todd's no slouch and one hell of a fisherman in his own right. I knew you were'nt the hook and hand kind of guy, but thanks for giving the Calstar 100J a try. I should offer the incentive that if you can keep that rod tip out of the water the charter's free (anyone who's pulled on this blank knows that four feet of the rod is under water the whole time

).

There's only so many fish I can see before I make a cast. Call me trigger happy

. It was beautiful out there, pretty much just Todd and I, all alone---surrounded by our 20-30lb friends.

And it's a good thing for photo shop, too, because---there's no fish in La Jolla!
