Hi Ron, glad to see you joined BWE. I had told him about it as a great resource.

My brother Jon and I met Ron at the DP launch ramp this past Wednesday and he asked to tag along which was fine with us. Got some smallish sardines at the bait barge and headed out to the middle barber pole and fished the pipe for a couple of decent sand bass. Ron got his on bait and I got mine on a mint Hookup bait. Had some other short biters but fishing was generally slow so we headed inside to Doheny and Capo Beach to try for halibut as the tide was rising. Had a few baits raked and one good hookup that eventually came unbuttoned. Water was 61-62 degrees and pretty cloudy but the wind stayed away. Just nice to get back on the water again.
