$1299 introductory price expect them to jump up in price in 2020. Lot of kayak for this kind of money.

If only it was Lowrance ready.

I need a spare lighter kayak to throw on the roof when camping. The PA is too heavy for my bad back.

You can always get a rudder ready kit! Super easy to install. Part #72020144 for the full kit with battery or 79050306 for the rudder mount and 86505613 for the thru hull plugs and then rig your own battery etc...

Is there an option to buy a kayak w/ rudder only w/o the drive?

That is totally up to each dealer. I would sell a hull without the drive, just deducting wholesale price of that drive.

Now if they could only sell an affordable 180 drive. I could buy a fine rifle for what they are charging for a cluster of plastic and cable...
