guide reviews?

I'm looking for feedback/reviews on guides for LJ. The human kind, not the kind on your rod.

I'm not a total newbie, but I have yet to boat a YT in La Jolla. I'm considering putting down some $ to shorten the learning curve.

I welcome any feedback. I don't suppose anyone has gone out with multiple guides, but let me know what you liked and/or didn't like about anyone you've used. Feel free to PM me, if you'd like to respond more privately. (I'll eventually try to summarize what I hear privately, unless anyone wants to tell me anything on condition of non-disclosure).

I am aware of The Darkhorse (Josh), Capt. Wade, and Sea Samurai (Kevin). I presume Jim Sammons is too famous to do much actual guiding these days. Anyone else?

Thanks.
