The Mission Bay Kayak Fishing Classic has become the biggest kayak fishing tournament in Southern California continually drawing well over 100 anglers annually showing up to fish and show their support for Heroes on the Water. ALL of the tournament proceeds go directly to our local chapter of HOW. Last year we surpassed our expectations in our fundraising, through entry and raffle ticket sales. All while bringing awareness to the community! We are hoping for a bigger crowd and greater results for our Southern California chapter of Heroes on the Water. Come be a part of this fun filled day with a sense of great purpose and camaraderie.

This might sound like a stupid question, but how do kayakers, SUP, and especially float tubers keep their catches until weight in time?

Thanks

There are weigh boats on call via radio. Mesh laundry bags make a good temporary holding tool.

The annual membership fee is $40 and helps to offset the cost of insurance, trophies and the end of year party. They also have a $5 per event membership fee option for anglers who want to try it out or are unable to commit to the full schedule fishing reels. The entry fee is only $20 per tournament with an optional $5 big fish pot. For only $25 per event you have the opportunity to meet others who share your passion and compete against some of the best kayak anglers So Cal has to offer.
