Fish finder, glow sticks, 2 headlights in case one goes for a dip.
Big flashlight to scare away large boat heading towards you. Water, or gatoraid.
Quick reaction to smack annoying seal from jumping on your yak.
Know not to grab the morey eels they really dont like people out of the water.
Nor do sting rays for that matter...
Watch out for gooey ecky thing that somehow crawl into the hoop. Cound never figure those things out, and they do no taste like chicken.
And go with a friend...

VHF radio or phone is water proof case.. and floats!

a gaff or pole with a hook (my BB angler paddle worked wonders) to grab the rope in case your too far off target. that way you don't have to keep doing circles.

make sure you have a light constantly on while out. mine burnt out last night and it was a bit sketchy in the harbor.

wear your PFD.

also bring a light rod with some swimbaits or anchovies to soak between pulls

Fishing license, lobster card, watch out for sculpins, too, sure to ruin your night if you get stuck by one of those.

Don't forget a pen. Bring a spare as well. I prefer black ink but blue works just as great.

BEFORE I LEAVE MY HOUSE...
kayak, paddle, pfd.
hoop nets. (modified with big styrafoam floats for easy visibility)
bait cages (made of 3" pvc pipe and chicken wire)
bait
LOBSTER GUAGE, knife, pliers (pre-packed in ziplock bag)
gloves, headlight, beanie, mask (pre- packed i another bag)
snacks, water.

*pack as much into the kayak hatches as possible... this way... i ensure that i dont forget anything in the car*

BEFORE I LAUNCH
unpack everything from yak and put it where it belongs.
load bait cages and zip-tie them into hoops.
LAUNCH AND GO CATCH STUFF!!!

Great lists! but I would add: reflective tape for paddles/jacket/etc. and a whistle (from my old coaching days) that I keep ziptied to my shoulder strap.
