Best fish finder

I'm looking to buy FF for my PA-14. Probably gonna get Lowrance looking for opinion for most bang for buck. Ease of use is priority. Thanks in advance.

Well asking what's the best fish finder is like asking who makes the best Car...

Everyone has an opinion on this but if your asking for mine I'd say HDS7 Touch. Gen 2, 3, and or Carbon...Gen 4 may be coming out soon...

Loaded question for sure. The hook series is the entry level graph while the HDS are more advanced. Go to a shop and look at what they have to offer.

What’s your budget?

If you want to save weight than get the Elite. Carbon , hds 3, hds 2 wont disappoint. Have or had all of above. Carbon has some nice new feature. New screen and dual processor.

When you said “bang for buck” I got the impression of lower budget than Carbons/TI. How much are you willing to spend? I like my Hook5 and wouldn’t go smaller, but I look at those 7 and bigger with touch interface and more options and I start to wonder...

Thanks for your opinions

In hind sight it was a a pretty vague question. I probably will go to west marine and take a look. I am thinking i can spend about $400 the internet research i did looks like hook 7 may fit the bill. Ill post what i end up buying. Thanks for your input

Take a look at Raymarine’s Dragonfly line up while you’re at West
