Rod Tip Repair

Hey ya'll,
I have a teacher at work that asked me if I knew of anyone that would do rod tip repair on a sentimental rod for her. She is from Huntington Beach. The rod was her Grandfather's. She says the rod is probably from the 1930's...it's a split-bamboo. The brand is a Powell. So, I told her I'd post it up here and see what happens. Just looking to maybe be pointed in the right direction. Thanks!

Don't know who may be able to do the work. What I would do is make sure the repair doesn't take away from the value. A lot of times, older items lose a lot of their value because somebody fixed it or even cleaned it up. Would also check very carefully on the person that may do the repair. Might check with a fly fishing only shop for recommendations.
