Newport skunk

I ventured offshore today. I went about 3 miles out and pretty much around in circles chasing diving birds. Except for one time my fish finder was blank the whole day. Towards the end of the day I pulled up to a bunch of terns diving. I marked 3 fish at 40-50 feet. I assumed yellowtail. Right when I saw them my mackerel gets picked up and I'm on!! Takes me on a short right before I realize it was a small seal. My one chance to get bit all day and a seal ruins it. Oh well it was still a fun day. Great conditions. Flat until about 10 and then a breeze picked up and there was a small rolling swell I'm thinking maybe Dana point next week
