Learning what not to do has made me a much better fisherman. Now if I can just learn what to do! Nice pair. Generally, the length of that size fish with the mouth closed is going to be about 1/4" to 1/2" longer than the front of the top lip. When you get into the really big ones, they can have a big lower lip protrusion.

Nice Job Jaime! You definitely got some secrets for the halibut! I still couldn't believe it when I saw you hook up 2 short halibut in less than 5 minutes in Newport Harbor. We'll get some yellows this summer, don't you worry. We just need to follow Nick around, lol!!!

For sure! But Jesse said he caught those fish and you took credit! I guess we'll need to set up an octogon at the coast guard station and let you two duke it out! LmaoName: uploadfromtaptalk1437577999310.jpg

Jaime,

What Jorge and Tony are trying to say is that they are impressed with your catches and stoked for you.

Sometimes they have difficulty expressing their true feelings.

Nice catch.

P.s. I know for a fact that a 38.5 inch halibut can weigh 19 pounds or 27 pounds. They vary a lot.

Get rid of your little scale...get a good bathroom scale.....the guys will love that!

Holy Crap!

Funny shit there Kevin. What makes that image funnier is how bad the editing. I can't wait to hear Jesse chime in.

Lol. A lot of my thanks goes to Cadillyak and all the time weve put it on the water. Putting in time is everything. Along with the constant good vibes. Luck never hurt nobody' ether.

I still gotta get me my tuna off the yak. Been getting them off PB's and off a cattle boat recently.

Congrats on the Butts!
I'm not going to get into the pissing match about size/weight.
It's just part of the free entertainment as far as I'm concerned!
Boy am I going to miss this if/when George retires.
George might be jealous because he's thinking about retiring and probably wanted to go out with a "BANG".
You accomplished something many members would kill for...2 Legal Butts (and both pretty reputable) in one day .
