ANOTHER QUESTION:

When the weather gets hot and we want cool and breathable for sun and wind protection only, what's a good quality, light weight, quick-dry pants suitable for kayaking?

I have no-name single layer nylon or polyester loose fitting, fast drying pants from A-1's bargain rack that I bought as all-purpose adventure travel pants for SE Asia many years ago. Blood and stains never stick. Never hot or sweaty. They are perfect, light, cool, dry in almost seconds, but sadly have about reached their long life's end. I need to find a replacement.

I could literally jump in the water, towel off, then walk into a restaurant to eat. They would be dry enough by the time I sat down.
