Lots of guys your size paddling Malibu Xfactors and Wilderness Ride 135's.

Come to OEX and demo some boats, that is the only way to know how you will truly feel in the kayaks.

If you're in the oceanside area before you buy one I have a fish and dive you can try out. I'm small 5'8" 125lbs and I move it around fine.

The scupper is more of an " advanced kayak" wet ride and you will be sitting in water
