For any "new guy" wanting a tip on inshore fishing? Find the "bait" and you will find the fish. Any fish one catches weather it be during a "bite" or not translates into experience. Obviously the more fish you catch the better fisherman you become, as each fish caught is a whole new learning experience. To me the "hunt" is also much more gratifying.....

I met this older guy yesterday at the launch in the dark. He had a stern look on his face all morning. He brought he son with him to go "fishing". Pretty much begged me for bait as he passed me the first time. This old guy proceeded to cut through a bunch of our lines a couple of times (without regard!). Needless to say, I saw him leave very early. I did not see any fish on his yak. I wonder if his boy had any fun...one man's perception of the morning. Jim
