Might shorten your paddle a bit to launch from the foot of Lawrence Street. Just keep heading down Rosecrans past the SI turnoff and make a left on Lawrence before you hit the sub base gate. Probably shave at least a few hundred yards off the trip.

yeah but the hotel is right across the street...

I have to leave my wife mobile so i will be rolling my yak, from the hotel to the beach. If i have to paddle just a few hundred yards more, well i need the exercise.

yeah, he only paddled to Hawaii and back last time out....
