I put mine under my legs in the deck when launching, and if the surf is bigger, put them in the tankwell strapped with a bungee cord after all the lines are wrapped on the way in...best to have the weight in the back upon landing.

Some guys have made PVC fittings for their tank wells, always a good idea. Just make sure your lines are snug and won't come undone in any surf.

thanks for the tips guys. i was thinking on making a pvc rack to be zip tied to the stern but it seems like a pain in the ass to get the nets.

I like the PVC rack. Really easy to use and keeps the nets from sliding off the yak.
