Just to let some of you guys know, last year was a very unique year in terms of squid and La Jolla.
I think many La Jolla vets will agree that last year was a very good year for squid, and as a result fishing in La Jolla was also very good. Yes, squid do spawn every year. But the timing, location, and size of a squid run vary from year to year. The ocean is a very dynamic ecosystem.
