Oh yeah, raia aguia would be "eagle ray" translated to English, which is the real name of the same family of fishes here in the US.
Calling it a "mud marlin" is a joke because it swims around in the mud looking for clams all day, but it can be very big and strong, so it fights like a marlin when you catch it. |
