I do that now. I have a set of the sand wheels and some regular dolly style wheels. Obviously, I use the sand wheels for the sand and use the dolly wheels when I'm fishing places like cabrillo or redondo. Whatever you do, don't buy the wheelez dolly type wheels, they do not have bearings so it takes a little more effort to pull the kayak plus they cost a lot more than a typical set of wheels at harbor Freight. I'll post some pics later tonight of how my cart is set up.
